  • Responsibilities

    The Apprentice Success Coach works closely with the Trilogy Health Services Apprentice Program, employees and students with training and education. The Apprentice Success Coach advises and supports students and employees from the point of initial inquiry through admission (hire), enrollment into the individual levels and through graduation. Responsible for developing and implementing programming specifically for students in the apprentice programs, as well advising these students on their next level of professional growth.


    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Advises employees and students within a designated region. Builds relationships to ensure comprehension and encouraging the advancement in the apprentice levels. Identifies challenges and builds a sense of community.
    • Communicates via phone, through Red E App, and in-person appointments.
    • Provides program and certificate guidance to students in the Apprentice and other certificate programs.
    • Monitors individual apprentice progress and visits all apprentices’ monthly.
    • Establishes individual goals, discusses barriers to success, and coordinates additional resources as needed and available.
    • Determines apprentices in need of additional intervention and follow up to ensure they are on track with course curriculum.
    • Develops outreach programming as needed which includes, but is not limited to, finding and promoting study or skill-enhancement events that may be applicable to the student, and ensuring awareness and benefits of using campus resources.
    • Assists students in identifying their individual strengths earned by their apprentice pathway and how to move from an apprentice to undergraduate study and career.
    • Conducts visits in person, tracks, and maintains records of progress for all apprentices toward certificate completion and apprentice completion.
    • Conducts outreach to prospective students for the Trilogy Apprentice Program, and partners with students to get them admitted. This includes conducting tentative transfer credit evaluations, and reviewing their academic record closely to determine the student’s optimal graduation pathway.
    • Follows up with students with challenges and partners with them to get back on the track to success.
    • Counsels students regarding appropriate course selection, career opportunities, and campus resources to improve performance. This includes strong relationship building with students in order to create graduation pathways that fit their personal life and goals.
    • Monitors student success metrics in the learning management system to proactively advise students. Collaborates with students with academic or skill difficulty and provides guidance to guide them back to the track to success. This includes maintaining up to date knowledge of policies, procedures, and campus feedback.
    • Ensures students are aware of their resources and utilizing them. This includes gaining a background in the resources offered by their high school, Trilogy, and Trilogy partners in order to make a resource referral. Provide direct hand-offs of the student to the referral source.
    • Assists with special projects as assigned and the development of social media campaigns to promote the program.
    • Travel (60%) with overnight stay as necessary.


    • Bachelors or equivalent degree in liberal arts or related area.


    • One (1) years’ minimum experience working directly with students in a college, university, corporate or military setting.
    • One (1) years’ experience working with a diverse population ranging from certificate completion, student access issues, workplace behaviors and skills requirement.
    • Online training programs and/or adult learners.
    • Computerized student information and communication systems.
    • Healthcare, senior living industry or long-term care environment preferred.
    • Exemplary computer skills that include knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of products.
