    We are excited to announce the job opening of a Reimbursement/Financial Analyst.  This position will analyze reimbursement functions within the finance department, including preparation of various financial and operational analyses relating to Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement.

    Trilogy Health Services, an innovative, dynamic Long-Term Care, Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living company based out of Louisville, KY, is looking for a top-notch Reimbursement/Financial Analyst to join the Trilogy team at our Home Office.


    Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
    • Prepares Medicare and Medicaid cost reports for campuses under the supervision of Reimbursement Manager
    • Studies changes in Medicare and Medicaid payment methodologies to become a resource for reimbursement staff
    • Assists in the calculation and payment of provider taxes
    • Develops analytical tools utilizing Jet Reports to review the financial statements each month during the year to evaluate proper allocations of expenses for reimbursement purposes based on established criteria.. Prepares timely analysis of various statistical reports for management including: Analysis of ancillary expenses versus revenues
    • Analyze and assist in the allocation of Home Office expense
    • Ensure proper documentation of these allocations for audit purposes
    • Analyzes Medicare and Medicaid rates as appropriate on a quarterly or annual basis based upon the Payor and State.
    • Communicates directly with each states cost report accounting firms to generate Medicare and Medicaid cost reports completing all necessary schedules and analysis utilizing Navision, Matrix Care, and Paycor/ADP. Maintains paper and electronic files of all data used in preparation of cost reports for audit purposes.
    • Assists with all aspects of the Medicaid and Medicare audits to final completion. Generates schedules, communicates and works with state audit teams as appropriate.
    •  Analyzes specific balance sheet accounts such as accrued expense accounts related to Reimbursement.
    •  Assists in the establishment of standard accounting practices.
    • Monitors control procedures to protect the Company’s assets.
    • Ensures the financial policies, procedures, and internal controls comply with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
    •  Devises and executes comprehensive financial plans, stays updated on all aspects of the operation company-wide.
    •  Prepares journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation.
    •  Analyzes and reconciles general ledger and subsidiary accounts monthly and ensures that accountants maintain appropriate supporting documentation of assigned accounts.
    •  Generates and distributes monthly financial and statistical reports to senior leadership.
    •  Minimal travel including overnight stay as necessary.


    • Four (4) year degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent from an accredited college or university.
    • Three (3) to five (5) accounting or finance experience. Healthcare, senior living industry or long-term care environment preferred.
    • Exemplary computer skills that include knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of products.
