  • Responsibilities


    • Oversee projects from the conception stage down through construction and eventual completion of the project, making sure that project teams meet quality, schedule, contractual, brand standards compliance and budget goals.
    • Establish and sustain client relations, participate in assessing and hiring architectural or engineering advisors, collaborate with governmental agencies and selected project architectural firms.
    • Adapt building codes, design and implement creative concepts of architectural layouts and formulate and oversee project budgets, schedules and client expectations.
    • Provide expert input in marketing, contractual, design and production meetings.
    • Work with VP of Development and Finance in creating the financial estimates for proposed projects.
    • Organize construction documents and assume responsibility for finished plans, specifications and approval of materials and construction methodology.
    • Map out program requirements, schematic drawings and preliminary cost estimates used in establishing guidelines for contract architects and engineers.
    • Support the construction team with Change Order review validating changes meet company standards and local or federal requirements.
    • Work with the Construction team on review of bids, contractor submittals and other relevant construction documents.
    • Manage the Architect and Civil with planning, zoning and permit applications.
    • Manage the Permit Process to assure no delays in project start dates.
    • Provide clear direction on construction document interprétation.
    • Develop and approve contract documents and change orders per established enterprise policy.
    • Manage and create the FF&E template for projects prior to turnover to the Construction team.
    • Negotiate municipal disputes.
    • Produce “Lien Free” projects with backup documentation.
    • Ability to coordinate and communicate the Commissioning of Projects.
    • Provide technical support to Risk, Safety and Legal.



    • Education –Bachelor & or Master’s degree in Architecture.
    • CAD and Revit capabilities
    • Architectural license preferred.
    • Experience – 7 plus years’ experience in construction or construction orientated architecture. Hospital or Senior housing experience preferred 
    • Management/Supervisory Experience – Five years of management/supervisory experience with either direct reports or third party vendors such as Architects and Engineering firms.
    • Travel on short notice and extensively, up to 50% of the time.
